We will be taking part in the Peace Hospice's annual Flagship Event – Starlight Walk for 2011.
After putting a team together last year, Imagine has now joined the organising committee to help make their annual event another huge success.
Our 'Imaginettes' will once again be taking to the roads of Watford for a 13 mile walk starting at midnight.
So the men don't feel left out, we are also getting together a team of 70 marshals.

London Triathlon 2011
www.thelondontriathlon.co.uk

Always striving to reach another level, several members of Imagine will be taking part in the London Triathlon 30-31st July – Individual and Team Race.
Mike Cole and Glenn Smith will be raising money for the Peace Hospice by participating in the Olympic Individual Event – 1500m Swim, 40km Bike, 10km Run.
Jason Baker, Mark Matthews and Mark Benson will be participating in the Team event and Laura Paddison in the Individual Sprint.
As this is quite a demanding challenge, training is well under way with get-fit tactics being exchanged on a regular basis. Knowing that all the sweat and effort is for a worthy cause, makes it that little bit easier and gaining support gives that extra push we need. Spectators (witnesses) welcome!

The Watford Peace Hospice
In April 2010 I had the good fortune to be invited to look around the premises of this treasured setup and see first-hand what an invaluable service they provide. They have three prime roles; Home care where they visit patients in the comfort of their own home, Day Visits where patients can spend a day mixing and relaxing with others and getting a bit of pampering and In patients where people stay on site. All are for those with terminal illnesses in latter stages.
The Hospice and their incredibly dedicated staff and team of volunteers offer a range of services and support to patients in their final weeks in comfortable and dignified surroundings. They also provide much needed support to the families.
The centre is not by any stretch a gloomy location, despite the sombre time. A positive and relaxed ambience made for a quite inspiring and humbling visit.
Thankyou for taking the time to visit our Charity Page. All sponsor amounts, small or large, will help raise the charity income which is required to run and develop the admirable service Peace Hospice provides.
