I have a dilemma...I don't like being an estate agent, but I love estate agency!! By that I mean I love the job, the environment, the competitiveness, the variety, the client interactions and more, but the reputation of the Industry still doesn't sit comfortably with me, albeit there is some improvement in recent years.
It's for that reason I take an extreme ethical stance on dealing with clients and drill that in to all of my staff throughout their employment. Being honest and genuine does not need to come at the expense of ambition and sales skills. It is perfectly feasible to encourage someone to buy or let a property without resorting to shallow tactics and anyone working at Imagine is directed to master this craft if they expect their employment to be of a long term nature.
This policy instils core values in our people that make them decent to deal with, trustworthy and genuine, yet still enthusiastic and positive. Let me introduce our Bushey team...
Jason Baker - Partner

- Fav Food – Thai
- Fav Film – Once Were Warriors
- Fav TV Programme – Ready Steady Cook

Jason's background was in the hotel and catering industry. He had become disillusioned with the lack of rewards for his hard work and turned to Estate Agency in 2007. In Imagine he found the perfect company to suit his style. His strong customer service attributes tied in with our ethos and he climbed the ladder very quickly to earn the chance to have a stake in his own office in 2009. He's battled to meet the challenges of running a business, while building a stand out reputation in Bushey as a considerate and hardworking person who genuinely cares about his clients requirements. By Mid 2012 his branch was considered market leader by most and his goal of Imagine dominating the region looked increasingly realistic.
Aaron Wilkes - Assistant Manager Sales
- Fav Music – Kings of Leon
- Fav Food – Pizza
- Fav Film – Sadly, Notting Hill
- Fav TV Programme – The Big Bang Theory
- Most Like to Meet – Peter Jones
Aaron had dipped in and out of property in his twenties before finding his way to us in 2011. Whether that was his good fortune or ours is open to debate, but the timing was ideal for a vacancy we had in Bushey for a reliable and knowledgeable right hand man to Managing Partner Jason. Aaron's calmness under pressure and ability to turn his hand to all aspects of the business make him the perfect foil to Jason. He's developing his talents with us and becoming a more and more valuable member of the team. He's also now part of the community having moved to Bushey in 2013.

Ben is a blast from the past, as someone who first worked for me some 15 years ago. Although our paths went separate ways in 2005 we had stayed loosely in touch and when I heard he may be up for a new challenge in 2013 it was an easy decision to bring him in to the Imagine fold. Like many of our team he has taken a backwards step in terms of job title to get in to our set up which speaks volumes for the reputation we have not just with clients but also people working in the industry. He will bring stability and experience to our team. Annoyingly he hardly looks a day older than he did 15 years ago.
Jamie Irvine - Negotiator
- Fav Music – Swedish house mafia
- Fav Food – Nando's or a curry
- Fav Film – Taken (1st film as the 2nd film really didn't cut the mustard)
- Fav TV Programme – Russell Howard's good news
- Most Like to Meet – Andre Villas-Boas
Jamie is the first Imagine employee to come through the new Estate Agency All Stars concept. A set up that looks to improve the reputation of the industry by making new recruits undertake a strict training regime prior to starting on the shop floor and then help develop them during their progression. The idea is supported by leading industry organisations like Rightmove and The Property Ombudsman. Imagine are proud to be an early supporter too. Selling should be straight forward for Jamie, his background was car sales, but we are looking to make him a much more rounded individual with a more sustainable career. Big hopes...
Bradley Broch - Lettings Manager
- Fav Music – Drake
- Fav Food – Steak
- Fav Film – American Gangster
- Fav TV Programme – Man v Food
- Most Like to Meet – Robin Van Persie
2013 has started very well for Bradley. He had always displayed potential in his time with us and undoubtedly had bundles of natural talent, he just needed to tighten up his work ethic and get a bit more focused to get his rewards. In recent months he has done just that and as a result when the chance to take over the Bushey Letting cropped up he duly deserved his opportunity. Bradley is one of the few males we have had who is as a competent at his administration as he is at selling and these two traits are crucial to be successful in Lettings. I wouldn't want to be a competitor to him in Bushey - very hungry, very motivated, from the area - watch him fly.
Giovanni di Gregorio - Mortgage Broker
- Fav Music – American Soft Rock
- Fav Food – Steak
- Fav Film – Spartacus
- Fav TV Programme – News at Ten
- Most Like to Meet – David Attenborough
Undoubtedly one of the world's most immaculately manicured men, Gio always looks as though he has come straight from the tailors. I've become convinced he transports a 'Corby' trouser press with him at all times. I've never seen a hair out of place (although he has less volume to worry about than once he did) and you could use his shoes as mirrors they gleam so much. To top it all, I don't mind admitting he always smells delicious. I'd have him around the place purely to gaze at, but as a bonus he happens to be a very high quality Broker as well. We first worked together over a decade ago and he remains the finest exponent of the mortgage business I have come across. Not directly employed by Imagine, he is fully Independent in terms of lenders and able to offer advice as such.
